Gee's Barbecue is a chinese bbq in Santa Ana, California. It is listed at 2603 S Main St, Santa Ana, CA 92707, which places it among the local businesses of Santa Ana that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 3 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12β8 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Ana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

πβοΈπβοΈπ Fantastic BBQ -- and a great family-friendly hidden gem in Santa Ana As someone who genuinely loves Texas-style BBQ and halal food, I've been meaning to try Gee's BBQ, and I'm really glad I finally did. This is the kind of BBQ spot I'm happy to seek out. We stopped by on a Sunday around 5:30 PM with the family after a trip to the Discovery Cube Science Center. Gee's wasn't particularly busy when we arrived, so we were able to order easily and grab a seat. Our food was prepared quickly, fresh, and with great service from start to finish. I went with the 2 Meat + 2 Sides platter, choosing the Picanha and beef back rib, with mac & cheese and smoked fried rice. The Picanha was the standout for me--beautifully grilled with that delicious char and a wonderfully beefy flavor, while still being tender and juicy. The beef back rib was also tender, smoky, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. You can tell there's some real attention being paid to the meat here. Gee's describes the beef back ribs as being smoked for 8 hours and finished with their house glaze, while the Picanha is charcoal-grilled, and you can definitely taste that wood-fire/charcoal character. And don't sleep on

Expecting some 5star barbeque but to see a menu that was so fragmented and priced badly with poor choices and any good combos? I think their overhead affects their food quality offering . Barbeque and portions was super over priced small and the taste was average. I did try from my friends Babrbeque plate as well . Taste was Nothing exciting . Taco place next to them was also average . Try it if you like it .

This is the best BBQ you'll get anywhere! It's my second time here with my partner, and I wasn't even a fan of the BBQ we've had elsewhere. This place changed that. Everything is beef! No pork! Even the sausage! It's amazing. Last time we had the brisket, tri-tip, and sausage. They were all good, my favorite being the sausage and the brisket. Today we had the dino rib and beef belly burnt ends. This is A LOT OF FOOD! The dino rib is literally fall off the bone! Delicious. And the beef belly burnt tips are honestly DELICIOUS, like candy, nice and sweet. They are very fatty, so beware of that. I will say the fat melts in your mouth, but if there's a big chunk, just cut it off. The meat is GREAT. Also, their Mac and cheese is on point, and their potato salad is yummy! They also give complementary water bottles in a cooler in the back. Thank you for turning me into a fan and becoming that place my partner looks forward to every weekend! We'll be coming again.

I will have dreams about this plate. Geeβs BBQ was amazing. I got the 2-meat plate with the back ribs and brisket, plus mac and smoked fried rice on the side. The ribs were tender and full of smoky flavor, and the brisket was juicy with a great bark. The mac was creamy and comforting, and the smoked fried rice was something different in the best way β flavorful, smoky, and honestly one of the standout sides. Great portions, great flavor, and definitely worth coming back for. 10/10!!!

βΈ» Food was really good overall, though a bit on the pricey side. The outdoor seating was a nice touch, and there was plenty of street parking available, which made it convenient. Iβd recommend getting there early since they tend to sell out quickly. The owner mentioned they prepare more food for dinner, but suggested arriving around 11:30β11:45 a.m. to avoid the long opening line. Weβll definitely be back to try more items when thereβs a fuller selection available. And donβt skip the pudding, it was amazing.
